Wow! Natalie’s wedding invitations look stunning! Our Junior Graphic Designer Christie worked with with her to create a typographic invitation design, utilising vintage typefaces and decorative bunting illustrations to complete the look.
The invitations were printed onto 240gsm kraft card. We provided the invitation and mount cards, Natalie set to work on mounting the invitation cards and wrapping each one individually in hessian & lace, with a string bow to finish.

We were asked to design a bright, eye-catching poster & co-ordinating information leaflet. for this years Paint the Town Red event in Workington. The brief stated that it was important that all information should be displayed clearly on the poster and that it should also incorporate some imagery to break up the text. Our design studio came up with the initial poster design below. Once we had that in place, we moved on to designing the information leaflet, which would highlight all the activities and events happening throughout the day.
The information leaflets were to be designed at A4 size, so that they can be folded down to DL size. This gave us 3 panels on each side of the leaflet to work with, which is lots of space to organise & display all the events which are going on around the town centre. We utilised the red brick background from the poster design, displaying the information in boxes with tape on the corners, so it looked like the notes had been stuck to the wall.
Amy was really happy with how the leaflets turned out!
Have a look at these gorgeous Baby Milestone Cards we designed and produced for With Love Photography! Sam got in touch with us, she wanted to create some unique Baby Milestone Cards to hand out to customers who booked a newborn baby shoot at With Love Photography. The idea is that as the child grows, the parents could photograph them at those important milestones holding the Baby Milestone Cards.
Our Senior Graphic Designer Steph worked her magic to create an eye-catching, unique typographic style utilising With Love Photography’s branding colours. The cards were A6 in size, printed both sides in full colour onto a high quality digital board, cut to size and round cornered.
Here is the finished product being modelled by the beautiful Poppy Matilda. Sam was thrilled with the finished product, anyone booking a newborn photo shoot with With Love Photography should be receiving a pack to play with!

We are in love with these watercolour, floral wedding invitations! They are perfect for any summer wedding! The A5 Z-Fold design is ideal for weddings where you need to convey a lot of information to the guests, such as menus, accommodation and transport information. We added a faint watercolour texture as a background to these invitations, which gave them a really nice finish.
We also created a personalised envelope which was addressed to each individual guest. Invitations can be designed to match your wedding theme and all additional wedding stationery, such as order of service, table plan, place cards and table cards can be designed to match.

We recently worked with John Bailey on a re-design for the West Cumbria Credit Union logo. We designed their original logo many years ago for ‘Allerdale Credit Union’, the name has since changed to ‘West Cumbria Credit Union’ so they felt it was time for a re-brand and a logo re-design.
John wanted an instantly recognisable logo, incorporating the fells and water to represent the Lake District. Daniel was working on this project and after much consideration he opted for an outline of Blencathra Saddleback, utilising green and blue shades to represent the fells and water. He selected a clean, modern typeface, adding a touch of italics to ‘West’ to add emphasis.
John wanted to include the website address within the logo, so we added that underneath and we added round corners to the whole logo to soften the look.
John and the team were really pleased with the final logo, it will be used online as well as on all printed promotional material. He tweeted about the project, saying “15 years working with Firpress and they still compete on cost, give top quality advice and deliver on time. First Class visuals … always!”
We recently had the pleasure of working with Dianne Richardson for a large curved exhibition stand for Balfour Beatty. Dianne wanted to display some key information about Balfour Beatty, alongside some imagery. She was keen to create a dramatic impact with the design.
Exhibition stands are designed to draw viewers in, encouraging them to approach your stand to find out more information. We initially looked at utilising a white background, but opted for a blue graduated background as it catches the eye and stands out in a room. We arranged the imagery in circles, connecting them together to highlight the different areas which Balfour Beatty work within.
Dianne was really pleased with the end result, the exhibition stand looked fantastic and really stood out from the other display stands at the event.
You can find out more information about Balfour Beatty by visiting their website.
If you have an upcoming event that you would like a display/exhibition stand for, please get in touch with us on 01900 68141, contact us on live chat or via our contact page.
It’s essential that recipe/cookbooks are easy to read & the instructions are easy to follow. Elton got in touch with us to discuss a recipe book he was planning to produce. The book was to be targeted at a younger audience, so he wanted to create an attractive, trendy design that would draw in the reader and hold their interest.
Our senior designer Steph worked with Elton to create a fun, dynamic style for the recipe book, utilising background textures, hand drawn typefaces and sketchy illustrations. She added in some ‘Top Tip’ sections, made to look like they had been stuck onto the page with tape and added some photographs of the meals, attached with a coloured paper clip. Each recipe was given its own colour coding, making it easy to locate the chosen recipe.Once printed, the recipe books were gloss laminated and wire bound down the left hand edge, we produced & delivered them in time for their launch event.
Elton was delighted with the final product, commenting:
“The recipe book looks brilliant! The idea of different colour for each page/recipe is excellent. I really can’t believe how fast you’ve done this – its remarkable”
School proms are a special occasion for both teachers & students, it’s important to pick a suitable venue that can provide both the space and the service to make the night an extra special one. Lucy wanted to promote the Prom Nights packages that Energus offers, we discussed the options available and decided that an interesting approach would be for the leaflet itself to have an invitation like feel to it. We wanted them to feel like an invitation that you may receive to a formal event, a little more luxurious that your everyday A5 handout.
We decided that a gatefold design would be an interesting approach, it has the ‘doors’ that open on the front to reveal the leaflet information hidden inside. A luxurious pattern was added to the background to further add to that invitation feel and a purple bow completed the design for the front of the ‘invitation’. Inside, we laid out the details in an easy to follow format, adding a collage of photos to show previous Prom Nights that have been held at Energus.
Lucy wanted the promotional invitations to make an impact as soon as they were delivered to the school, she didn’t want the envelope to get pushed aside with all the other white & brown envelopes that are dropped on someones desk. Personalised envelopes are the perfect way to grab attention as soon as the post is delivered. We utilised the same pattern from the invitation itself and included the Prom Nights logo in the bottom right corner. The envelopes were printed in full colour from edge to edge and really added that professional finishing touch.
Lucy was delighted with the final product, we are looking forward to working with her & Faye on the new Energus brochure in the coming weeks.
